Kahn, Ellie: Living Legacies Family Histories

For over 30 years I have been conducting in-depth interviews to save personal stories and memories. Before starting Living Legacies, my background as a journalist and psychotherapist gave me both the motivation and the skills for this career, which I love. My clients are primarily families, but also organizations, churches, synagogues and communities. My interviews are saved as either audio or video recordings, and from these, I produce video tributes and memorials, documentaries and books. I'm in the Los Angeles area, but am commissioned for projects in many other parts of the country. I frequently give workshops on saving your own family stories and often am contacted to consult about such projects.
